We take heat seriously, which is why each skillet mitt boasts a four-layer protection system. When sandwiched together, these layers create an incredibly heat-resistant product. Up to 450 degrees.
You can leave it on the handle while cooking on low but please be cautious of high heat. Skillet mitts are heat resistant but not fire proof.
